Reminder to clubs who wish to register
A Chairde,

Ulster GAA are involved in a series of FREE workshops with the Young Farmers of Ulster. Clubs are invited to attend one workshop, specifically focussed at 16 – 25 year olds.

The workshops aim to engage with young people on how they view their community. It tackles some of the issues around stereotypes of groups such as the GAA. Feedback from previous workshops found that it was positive that young GAA members came away with a better sense of where the GAA club has came from, its ethos and so on.
This is a unique opportunity for young people, and something which will add greatly to CVs. Also it is valuable experience for the Learning For Life and Work module which all school-goers must complete in Keystage 3 and 4.
The response from clubs has been very positive so far but there is still some availability for the workshops below.

I am emailing to remind clubs if they wish to attend a workshop they should contact me immediately.
Clubs are aware of new regulations which make the wearing of mouthguards compulsory for all ages during training and competitive sessions. The responsibility lies with Clubs in ensuring this is implemented, i.e. if a player arrives at training having forgotten their mouthguard the Club should be able to provide them with a “boil and bite” mouthguard, otherwise they are required to sit-out of training. Thus it may be of interest to you to know that any clubs sending 10 or more participants to the workshop will be given a £150 O’Neills sports voucher. The voucher can be redeemed against CE certified gumshields from O’Neills sports stores.

Incidentally if there are less than 10 members from your Club wishing to attend a workshop they are more than welcome; they should register with me by email. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a voucher for groups of less than 10.

Apologies to any clubs who are receiving this email and have already attended the workshop, or have registered to attend a workshop.

Finally if you wish to register your club for a workshop please come back to me as soon as possible as places are limited.
Le meas,
Maura
